Saranda Italian
Italian restaurants in Saranda for Apulian, Emilian and Neapolitan-style cooking
Italian cooking in Saranda is regional and made by hand. On Rruga Ismail Qemali, two kitchens share an address. One calls itself a corner of Puglia, with handmade orecchiette, troccoli with clams, fried polenta scagliozzi, lamb over hot coals, its own limoncello and gluten-free options. The other cooks in the Emilian tradition, producing tagliatelle, pappardelle, gnocchi and lasagne on the premises, serving pizza beside them and selling fresh pasta over the counter.
In the centre, another kitchen serves pizza al metro, the long rectangular pizza from Vico Equense on the Bay of Naples, cut for sharing, beside artisanal pasta and fresh fish, and runs its own delivery. On Rruga Mitat Hoxha, a modern dining room looks out over the bay with pasta, steaks, pizzas, seafood and a wine list, and tables facing the water can be reserved ahead.
