Getting to and around Saranda, by ferry, bus, taxi, hire car and scooter
Saranda's transport runs from Corfu ferries and buses to Tirana and Ksamil to taxis, airport transfers, delivered hire cars, scooters and car parks.
Saranda has no airport. Visitors arrive by road, often from Tirana International Airport, a drive of roughly three and a half to four hours, or by sea from Corfu, with fast boats crossing in about 30 minutes to the port beside the town centre. Private transfer firms and taxis run door-to-door trips to Tirana Airport and work the Corfu ferry at the port, and intercity buses link Saranda with Tirana, Tirana Airport, Gjirokastër and other cities.
Getting around locally, a municipal bus line runs from the town centre to Ksamil and Butrint, and another to the Blue Eye. Taxis, several of them electric, cover town rides and day trips, and scooters, quads and cars are hired from firms in Saranda and Ksamil, some delivering to hotels or the port. Cars booked through the search on the car rental page are handed over by city delivery at an agreed address in Saranda, with no desk and no airport pick-up.
Drivers staying in town can use the gated and open-air car parks west of the centre or an app-paid covered car park on Rruga Gjergj Araniti.
