Souvenir and gift shops in Saranda, from handmade balms to Albanian keepsakes
Two shops in Saranda cover the souvenir run. On the SH81, a gift shop that began during Covid as its founder's hobby sells creams, balms and soaps she makes herself from her grandmother's recipes, with soya wax candles, bath bombs and luffa sponges in boxed sets. Its food and drink shelves carry spoon sweets of local fruit, liqueurs made in the shop on a raki base, raki and local wine, herb-flavoured olive oil and wild mountain herbs, with engraved and painted souvenirs beside them.
On Rruga Gjergj Araniti, the Saranda outlet of a supplier based in Shkodër sells magnets, paintings, T-shirts, traditional hats and bags, silver and antique-style jewellery and ceramic, wood and glass pieces, including maps of Albania cut from Trepça stone. It prints on T-shirts, cups and keyrings, engraves stone plaques to order and sells wholesale as well as retail.
