Saranda Day Trips

The standard inland day from Saranda pairs Gjirokastër, its castle and old bazaar, with the Blue Eye spring and a stop at Lëkurës castle, sometimes adding the Mesopotam monastery or an Ottoman bridge. Longer days follow the Vjosa valley to the Bënja thermal baths beside an Ottoman stone bridge, the Langarica canyon and Përmet, with rafting on some trips, while others go to Berat and the Apollonia archaeological park, the Nivicë canyon or hill villages for home-cooked food.

The listed operators use air-conditioned minivans and Sprinters with small groups, and one runs open-top Land Rovers in convoy, where guests aged 25 or over with four years' licence can take a turn at the wheel, with versions timed for Corfu ferry and cruise arrivals.
